Dr. Eslam Alhogaraty is a Professor of Environmental Engineering and Water and Wastewater Technology at Algonquin College, Ottawa, and an Adjunct Professor, at the Institute of Water, Environment and Health-United Nation University. He holds PhD in Natural Sciences (Geo-ecology) from Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald (Germany). Dr. Alhogaraty is a Sustainability planner; Environmental technician; Geo-ecologist; Research analyst; Policy advisor; Business development associate and Trainer certified as project management professional (PMP) with total experiences of 15 years between academia, industry and business.
Dr. Alhogaraty works with Canadian, Australian and American institutions such as: Murdoch University, American University in the UAE, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University and Dubai Medical College in the UAE, Algonquin College and Carleton University in Canada. He is the co-founder and Chief Consultant of the Canadian Center for Green Development and Science Target in Ottawa and he is the Director-at-Large and head of strategic planning of the Ottawa Biosphere Eco-city Council (OBEC). He acts as an Ambassador in circle of the United Nation Association in Canada.
His expertise covers environmental planning, waste management, pollution prevention, sustainable land use management, unconventional water resources, biosphere reserves, renewable energy site selection, sustainability awareness, clean production and green practices. He collaborated with many national and international organizations in Canada, US, Germany, UAE and including Canadian Ice Services- Environment Canada, Arctic Net-Canada, Oxfam, Eco-Canada, Hydro-Ottawa, Boston University, Tufts University, CleanTech-GmbH, EnviTech-GmbH, USAID, DANIDA, FINNIDA, CH2MHILL and European Bank and is the founder of regular International congresses including Ajman International Environment Conference (AIEC) in UAE, and iWISE conference in Canada.
